The First Line

Being an author is enjoyable. The most important part of writing is the first line. That first line makes or breaks a piece. It can tease the reader into continuing or even persuade them into buying the book. Even in this blog post the first sentence is "Being an author is enjoyable" this line probably has nothing to do with this post. Even in a book the first sentence most of the time has nothing to do with the story line. Unless the first line in your  book is " I won the lotto today" and the plot of the book is about you winning the lottery. The first line in a book is just as important as it's cover. Even though the old saying goes "Never judge a book on its cover". When was the last time you actually read about the book before looking at the cover. The cover is the first thing you see on a book it is what grabs your attention. The use of the first line is just as important because when you actually read a book you never skip the first sentence. If you ever have then you are just dumb.
The End
